District Election Officer and SSP Review Poll Preparations in East Singhbhum
Focus on Model Code Compliance, Voter Awareness, and Booth Arrangements
District Election Officer Ananya Mittal and Senior Superintendent of Police Kishore Kaushal conducted a comprehensive review of the election preparations at Potka and Jamshedpur Sadar Block Headquarters, issuing directives to ensure strict adherence to the Model Code of Conduct and inspecting polling stations and checkpoints.
JAMSHEDPUR – The District Election Officer Ananya Mittal and Senior Superintendent of Police Kishore Kaushal convened review meetings at Potka and Jamshedpur Sadar Block Headquarters to assess the progress of election preparations for the upcoming Lok Sabha general elections, providing essential guidelines to officials to ensure fair and smooth voting.
SOR, ADM, DTO, SDM Dhalbhum, Deputy Election Officer, BDO, CO, SDPO Ghatshila, police station incharge and other officials were present on the occasion.
If any objectionable material or amount is found then confiscation action will be taken as per rules. During the inspection, senior officials of the district checked the vehicle inspection register of the deputed magistrate and the police force.
In order to prevent illegal transportation of illicit liquor, money, drugs or other freebies, the deployed magistrates and police forces were instructed to thoroughly check small and big vehicles.
In the same sequence, the check point located on Hata-Chaibasa road in Potka block was inspected by District Election Officer Mr. Ananya Mittal and Senior Superintendent of Police Mr. Kishore Kaushal.
After checking the proper arrangements at the centre, instructions were given to the concerned officer to ensure cleanliness of the center premises.
During the inspection, the Deputy Commissioner gave necessary instructions to the Block Development Officer regarding basic facilities at the booths (AMF).
During the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the District Election Officer has given instructions to strengthen all the proper arrangements at all the booths regarding the availability of necessary basic and basic structures at all the polling stations in the district.
Inspected Project Girls High School, Potka and attached high school, Potka under Potka block and REO office, Khasmahal Kitadih under Jamshedpur Sadar block.
Inspected the polling station, check point, gave guidelines regarding uninterrupted and smooth conduct of elections.
Besides, instructions were given regarding construction of sheds, well-planned queue system, CCTV, videography system etc. at all the booths.

Instructions were given to resolve the reasons due to which the voting percentage was low and to make as many voters as possible aware by increasing the activity of the booth awareness group there.
Regarding increase in voting percentage, he directed to identify those booths in which voting percentage was low.
Regarding critical polling stations, estimation of number of people voting through postal ballot, cluster formation, route chart, communication plan, structure of strong room as per the provisions of Election Commission, sensitive pockets regarding expenditure etc. were discussed in detail.

Rural SP Mr. Rishabh Garg was present in the meeting held in Potka block and City SP Mr. Mukesh Lunayat was present in the meeting of Jamshedpur Sadar block.
Taking information about the updated report of the election work done so far, many necessary guidelines were given to the officials regarding fair voting.
