RANCHI – A heated exchange erupted between Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren and BJP state president Babulal Marandi over coal royalty dues from the Centre.

Marandi challenged JMM’s claims on platform X. Moreover, he demanded documentary evidence for the stated amount.

“This is rightful money of Jharkhandis,” CM Soren responded. Furthermore, he expressed disappointment over BJP’s opposition stance.

The cabinet approved legal action last month. Additionally, the government issued a formal notification for proceedings.
