District Administration Begins Preparations for February 26 Visit

JAMSHEDPUR – President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to visit the city on February 26 for a religious foundation ceremony.

During the visit, the President will lay the foundation stone of the Lord Jagannath Temple. The temple will be constructed at Marine Drive in Kadma.

However, preparations for the high-profile visit have intensified across the district. Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi and SSP Piyush Pandey conducted a physical inspection of the venue.

Meanwhile, senior administrative officers accompanied them during the site visit. Members of the organising committee were also present at the location.

In contrast, officials reviewed arrangements related to security and logistics. The inspection covered the event site and surrounding access routes.

Moreover, Deputy Commissioner Karn Satyarthi said this would be the President’s second visit to the city. She earlier visited Jamshedpur on December 29, 2025.

Meanwhile, he added that preparations are being executed in a phased manner. Planning includes arrival routes and the programme framework.

On the other hand, trust officials described the occasion as significant. Managing Trustee and RSB Global Vice Chairman S.K. Behera shared his views.

Moreover, Behera said the temple project would aid local development. He said it would emerge as a major centre of faith.

In addition, he highlighted plans for a spiritual education centre. The centre aims to support holistic development of youth.
