JAMSHEDPUR – Churches across the Steel City have begun Christmas preparations with decorations and carol singing, while authorities implement security measures.

The festive atmosphere has enveloped major churches in the city. Melodious carols fill the air at these sacred spaces.

Meanwhile, St. George’s Church has installed a magnificent 15-foot Christmas tree. “The decorations reflect our community’s joy,” said a church committee member.

Security Arrangements

The police have deployed additional forces at key locations. Moreover, CCTV surveillance has been enhanced around churches.

Furthermore, the traffic restrictions aim to prevent congestion. On the other hand, emergency vehicles will be exempt from these rules.

Historical Significance

The city’s churches have celebrated Christmas since the early 1900s. In addition, St. Mary’s Church was established in 1932.
