ITI Student’s Body Discovered Hanging from Cashew Tree, Love Angle Suspected

GHATSHILA – A 19-year-old youth was found dead near a canal in Lodhasoli panchayat area of Chakulia police station limits on Saturday morning.
The deceased, identified as Uday Gop, was discovered hanging from a cashew tree. Local residents spotted the body and immediately alerted police.
“We are examining the victim’s mobile phone records,” said Station In-charge Santosh Kumar. “All possible angles are being investigated.”
Investigation Details
Sub-Inspector Ajit Kumar reached the scene with police forces. Moreover, they recovered the body with help from locals and sent it for post-mortem.
Meanwhile, the victim’s motorcycle was found parked near the canal. Furthermore, his phone showed missed calls but remained unanswered since Friday.
Background Information
Uday was the only son of Doman Chandra Gop from Panchmile. Additionally, he was pursuing studies at ITI College in Ghatshila.
On the other hand, villagers suspect a failed romantic relationship behind the tragedy. Besides, police are examining all evidence to determine the cause.
