Tragic Murder-Suicide in Jamshedpur’s Millatnagar: Man Kills Wife, Takes Own Life

Suspected infidelity leads to gruesome incident; bodies discovered in Shaheen Colony

A devastating murder-suicide in Millatnagar has shocked the community, leaving two families in mourning and authorities investigating.

JAMSHEDPUR – A 25-year-old man allegedly murdered his teenage wife before taking his own life in Millatnagar, Seraikela-Kharsawan district, near Jamshedpur.

The bodies of Hussain and his 18-year-old wife Dilkash were discovered on Monday morning in their home in Shaheen Colony.

Dilkash’s mutilated body was found in a pool of blood on the bed.

Hussain’s body was hanging from the ceiling fan in the same room.

The incident reportedly occurred on Sunday night following a severe argument between the couple.

Kapali thana officer-in-charge Sonu Kumar stated that Hussain, a motor mechanic, had been suspecting his wife of infidelity since shortly after their marriage a year ago.

"Barely a month into their marriage, Hussain began suspecting that Dilkash was involved in an extramarital affair, leading to frequent quarrels," explained OC Sonu Kumar.

The disputes had escalated to the point where Dilkash had moved back to her parents’ house.

Hussain had convinced her to return just a week before the tragic incident.

Local police arrived at the scene upon receiving information and removed the bodies for postmortem examination.

A forensic team was deployed to investigate the crime scene thoroughly.

Authorities believe Hussain murdered Dilkash with a chopper before taking his own life.

The bodies have been moved to the Seraikela Sadar Hospital mortuary for further examination.

The incident has sparked a bitter dispute between the families of the deceased couple.

As investigations continue, the community of Millatnagar is left grappling with the profound impact of this shocking event.
