Tata Steel inaugurates Rock Garden at Indranagar, promoting biodiversity and ecosystems through unique in-situ rock carvings and green surroundings.
Jamshedpur – Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President Corporate Services at Tata Steel, inaugurated a Rock Garden at Indranagar near The Indian Steel & Wire Products Limited (ISWP) on Monday, May 1.
Tata Steel’s initiative aims to raise awareness about the significance of biodiversity and ecosystems.

The garden features a unique in-situ rock carving art installation created by Chitta Dey, depicting a prey and predator relationship in nature.
This art piece has several carvings of animal motifs like grasshopper, frog, rabbit, fox, snake, owl, lion etc in their natural habitats, depicting a prey and predator relationship. Whether it is an eagle catching and swallowing a snake, a snake eating a frog, a frog swallowing a grasshopper and a grasshopper eating the grass.

The 68-feet wide and 22-feet high rock carving sits amidst a 2-acre lush green park overlooking the Gurudwara pond.
The park also includes a newly developed waterbody, contributing to the area’s environmental preservation.
