Kunaram Munda Attacked by Wild Elephant While Sleeping in Courtyard, Referred to Jhargram for Treatment

In a shocking incident late last night, a wild elephant entered Galudih Tola in Badamara village, Badamara Panchayat of Chakulia block, and attacked Kunaram Munda, who was sleeping in his courtyard.

JAMSHEDPUR – At around midnight, a wild elephant entered the house of Kunaram Munda in Galudih Tola, Badamara village, and attacked him while he was sleeping in the courtyard.

Kunaram Munda’s son, Dukhu Lal Munda, reported that his father had gone to sleep in the courtyard after dinner.

The elephant entered their courtyard at around 12 AM and injured Kunaram, who was taken by local residents to Chakulia Community Health Center.

Dr. Naresh Baske provided first aid and, given the severity of Kunaram’s injuries, referred him to Jhargram, West Bengal, for advanced treatment.

The sudden appearance of the elephant has left the villagers in fear and panic.

This incident has raised concerns about the safety of villagers and the presence of wild elephants in the area.

Authorities are being urged to take necessary measures to prevent such incidents in the future.

The local community is deeply concerned about the recurring visits of wild elephants.

The villagers are hoping for prompt action from wildlife officials to address this issue.

Kunaram Munda’s condition remains serious, and his family is anxiously waiting for his recovery.

Such incidents highlight the ongoing human-wildlife conflict in rural areas.
