Rotary Club Jamshedpur West Organizes Free Health and Eye Camp

77 people benefited from health check-ups, and 44 received eye exams at Parvati Ghat in Bistupur.

A health camp organized by Rotary Club Jamshedpur West saw 77 health check-ups and 44 eye exams conducted at Parvati Ghat.

JAMSHEDPUR – Rotary Club Jamshedpur West, in collaboration with Parvati Ghat Committee, organized a free health and eye check-up camp at Parvati Ghat in Bistupur on Sunday.

A total of 77 people underwent health check-ups, and 44 availed themselves of eye examinations.

During the camp, awareness was also raised about cancer and thalassemia prevention.

The Rotary Club distributed free medicines to all attendees.

For the health check-ups, services were provided by orthopedic specialist Dr. Amit Mukherjee, general physician Dr. Ajay, and nurse Dulari.

The camp offered tests for blood sugar, blood pressure, general physical exams, and weight checks.

The eye examinations were conducted with the support of the team from Purnima Netralaya.

Seven individuals were selected for cataract surgery, with three sent to Purnima Netralaya Tamolia Hospital the same day, while the remaining four will be taken in a day or two at their convenience.

The cataract surgeries will be performed free of charge.

From Purnima Netralaya, the team included Vipin (Coordinator), Dr. Ishwari Rao, and Mausumi Chand.

Key contributors to the success of the camp included Rotary Club President Dr. Amit Mukherjee, Deepti Singh, Deepak Panchamia, Sanjeev Sehgal, Rakesh Kumar Chaudhary, Anupama Sehgal, Dr. Ravindra Kumar, Kamal Gupta, Nandkishore Agarwal, Anil Dhandhania, Radhika, Vidya Tiwari, Kamlesh Tiwari, and Rishi Chandrani.

The Parvati Ghat Committee members D. Bhatt, Ramamurthy, Jignesh Vashani, and Deepak Panchamia also extended their support.
