SCCI to unveil ‘Beyond Business’ on August 26, showcasing Tata’s national contributions
The Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry will release a comprehensive book detailing the Tata Group’s diverse contributions to India’s development.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) is set to launch a coffee table book titled ‘Beyond Business: Impact of Tata Group’ on August 26.
Edited by Sandeep Murarka, the book will feature approximately 170 colored pages showcasing the Tata Group’s significant contributions to nation-building.
The cover design and colorful pages have been crafted by Neeraj Kumar Pathak, an Assistant Professor at ITM University in Gwalior.
The book’s initial pages will include photographs of the Tata family with prominent national figures such as Mahatma Gandhi and Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
It will highlight the numerous prestigious awards received by the Tata Group, including three Bharat Ratnas and seventeen Padma Vibhushans.
The publication will also feature stories of thirteen trained mountaineers from the Tata Steel Adventure Foundation who have scaled Mount Everest and other global peaks.
Vice President Abhishek Agarwal Goldie mentioned that the book includes introductions to nine prominent Tata-associated personalities who have received Padma awards.
A special chapter, compiled by members of the Jamshedpur Coin Collectors Club, documents coins, postage stamps, and special covers issued in Tata’s honor.
The book draws parallels between tribal heritage and the Tata legacy, emphasizing the group’s crucial role in India’s development and modernity.
It highlights Tata’s contributions in establishing prestigious institutions like IISc and TIFR, showcasing their impact beyond business.
The publication serves as a guide for entrepreneurs on fulfilling duties beyond business and as a resource for business management students.
"This book projects how Tata products have expanded from salt to IT, making them available in around 150 countries," stated Vijay Anand Moonka, President of the SCCI.
The launch date coincides with the 117th anniversary of Tata Steel Limited’s establishment, marking a significant milestone in the company’s history.
