JAMSHEDPUR – The Singhbhum Chamber of Commerce and Industry office-bearers held a meeting with the officials of Tata steel procurement department and discussed several issues of importance to local vendors.

President of the SCCI, Vijay Anand Moonka, spotlighted the Chamber’s dedication to fostering local enterprise growth. He emphasized the mutual support between Tata Steel and local vendors during challenging times.

He insisted that this partnership is pivotal for regional economic development and underscores Tata’s commitment to the community.

Vendors raised crucial points during the dialogue, ranging from the need for an online forum to share success stories to the importance of transparent tender processes on the GeM portal. These discussions aimed to enhance vendor engagement and resolve existing challenges, reflecting a concerted effort to streamline operations and support local businesses.

In a significant move to bolster vendor relationships, Tata Steel announced the termination of its work-from-home policy.

This change, effective April 1st, aims to facilitate easier access for vendors, demonstrating Tata’s commitment to addressing their concerns and fostering a more collaborative environment.
