JAMSHEDPUR – Commerce Department hosts International Commerce Day with a focus on Budget 2024 insights and student competitions.

On Tuesday, Jamshedpur Women’s University’s Commerce Department organized International Commerce Day at the Sidhgora campus.

The event featured various competitions for students.

Vice-Chancellor Dr. Anjila Gupta inaugurated the event by lighting the lamp.

Chartered Accountant Shiv Chaudhary and Company Secretary Surojit Bhumij discussed the 2024 Union Budget, highlighting the removal of the capital gains indexation and the increase of the standard deduction to 75,000.

The event began with a welcome speech by Dr. Deepa Sharan, Head of the Commerce Department and Dean.

She emphasized the significance of the day and introduced the Commerce Club.

Dr. Kamini Kumari, Dr. Gloria Purti, and Dr. Chhaganlal Agrawal also addressed the gathering.

Bhavna Kumari and Shweta Patel conducted the event.

Prizes were awarded to the winners of the competitions.

The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Gloria Purti.
