JAMSHEDPUR – Sunrise Public School in Mango, Jamshedpur has commemorated the 10th International Yoga Day 2024 with a spirited celebration led by Yogacharya Wasikur Rahman.
The school grounds of Sunrise Public School in Mango, Jamshedpur came alive on Thursday as students and staff gathered to celebrate the 10th International Yoga Day.
Under the guidance of Yogacharya Wasikur Rahman, the event showcased the school’s commitment to holistic education and well-being.
Rumi Usmani, Director of the School Management Committee, inaugurated the event, emphasizing the importance of yoga in daily life. "Yoga is not just exercise; it’s a path to balance and peace," Usmani stated in his address.
Principal Sheikh Nilofer played a crucial role in organizing the two-hour program, which saw enthusiastic participation from students across all grades.
"This event marks a significant step in our school’s approach to student wellness," Nilofer remarked.
The celebration featured a series of yoga demonstrations and practices, introducing students to various asanas and breathing techniques. Many participants shared their experiences afterward, highlighting the immediate benefits they felt.
"I never realized how calming yoga could be," said a 9th-grade student. "It’s definitely something I want to continue practicing."
