Mulnivasi Sangh Demands End to Atrocities on Tribals on World Tribal Day
On World Tribal Day, Mulnivasi Sangh in Jamshedpur demands an end to the atrocities on tribals, including those in Manipur, and implementation of Schedule 5.
JAMSHEDPUR – On the occasion of World Tribal Day, a significant demand was made by the Mulnivasi Sangh at the District Headquarters of Jamshedpur.
The Sangh demonstrated against the continuous atrocities on tribals across the entire country, including the recent incident in Manipur.
They handed over a demand letter to the Deputy Commissioner, aimed at the President, in which they urged the full implementation of Schedule 5 with power.
The letter highlights the contrast between the celebration of tribals on one hand, and the growing number of incidents involving atrocities against them on the other.
It also calls attention to the unique situation where there is a tribal woman in one of the highest positions in the country, while tribals continue to face discrimination and abuse.
The Sangh’s members expressed their distress and demanded the immediate intervention of the President to bring an end to the injustices faced by the tribal community.
They emphasized the urgent need for the government to take serious steps to recognize the rights of the tribals and protect them from continued oppression.
The demonstration served as a significant reminder of the challenges faced by the tribal community and the need for swift action to ensure their safety and dignity.
