Veteran Service Group Celebrates Yoga Day in Bagbera

Former servicemen gather to promote health through yoga, embodying ‘Stay Fit with Yoga’ motto

Local veterans unite in Jamshedpur to mark International Yoga Day, emphasizing wellness for ex-servicemen.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Navyug Samaj Seva Samiti and Akhil Bhartiya Purva Sainik Seva Parishad of Jamshedpur observed International Yoga Day in Bagbera on Thursday, focusing on the theme ‘Stay Healthy with Yoga’.

Key members of the organizations gathered to participate in yoga exercises, demonstrating their commitment to holistic health.

Havildar Manoj Kumar Singh coordinated the event, ensuring a smooth flow of activities.

District President Vinay Yadav and District General Secretary Jitendra Singh led the proceedings, emphasizing the importance of yoga for veterans’ well-being.

Notable attendees included Avadesh Kumar, S.K. Singh, Satyendra Singh, Birju, Sukhvinder Singh, Gautam Lal, Jasvir Singh, and Dhananjay Nirdosh, among other members.

The event showcased various yoga poses and breathing exercises tailored for veterans.

"Yoga is not just exercise; it’s a path to overall wellness, especially crucial for our ex-servicemen," stated Vinay Yadav during his address.

Participants shared their experiences, with many noting the positive impact of regular yoga practice on their health.

"Incorporating yoga into our daily routine has significantly improved our physical and mental well-being," remarked Jitendra Singh.

The celebration highlighted the growing recognition of yoga’s benefits among the veteran community in Jamshedpur.

As the session concluded, there was a collective resolve to continue promoting yoga as a tool for maintaining health and vitality among ex-servicemen.

This event marks a significant step in integrating holistic health practices into the veteran support system in the region.
