Congress Faces Challenges in Lohardaga as Independent Candidate Enters Race

Sukhdev Bhagat Files Nomination, Independent Chamra Linda Complicates Congress’s Prospects

In a recent political development, Congress candidate Sukhdev Bhagat has officially filed his nomination for the Lohardaga parliamentary seat.

RANCHI – The political scene in Lohardaga has intensified with Sukhdev Bhagat’s nomination for Congress and the unexpected entry of Chamra Linda as an Independent candidate.

Bhagat expressed concerns over Linda’s decision to run independently, suggesting that it was an impulsive mistake that could split the vote.

This development poses a significant challenge for Congress, complicating its strategy in the constituency.

Following the nomination, a public meeting was held at the Town Hall grounds, attended by notable leaders such as Chief Minister Champai Soren, Minister Alamgir Alam, Banna Gupta, Congress in-charge Ghulam Ahmed Mir, Congress state president Rajesh Thakur, and Mandar MLA Shilpi Neha Tirkey.

The presence of high-profile party leaders underscores the importance of this seat in the broader political landscape of the region.
