JAMSHEDPUR – Vinod Kulkarni highlighted NJMS’s dedication to leprosy eradication and patient empowerment.

This partnership has notably decreased leprosy rates in the region.

NJMS provides comprehensive support, including education and livelihood assistance, to affected individuals.

Their facility offers free medical care and accommodation to over 4000 patients.

Through annual surveys, NJMS has effectively identified early cases among 75,000 residents.

Their efforts have led to a dramatic decrease in leprosy incidence from 1.5 to 0.5 per 1000 in three years.

NJMS’s initiatives cover health, education, employability, and more, with over 500 volunteers.
