BJP Vows NRC Implementation in Jharkhand if Elected

Chouhan: Bangladeshi infiltrators to be expelled under BJP rule

Key Points:

• BJP promises NRC in Jharkhand if voted to power

• Chouhan accuses Soren govt of sheltering infiltrators

• HC orders committee to identify infiltrators in state

RANCHI – BJP’s election in-charge for Jharkhand, Shivraj Singh Chouhan, has pledged to implement the National Register of Citizens (NRC) if the party wins the upcoming state election.

Chouhan stated that the NRC would help identify and expel Bangladeshi infiltrators.

He accused the current government of harboring these infiltrators by issuing them Aadhaar cards.

"This election is about protecting Jharkhand’s roti, beti, and maati," Chouhan emphasized.

The BJP leader highlighted demographic changes in the Santhal Pargana region.

He claimed the tribal population has decreased from 44% to 28% due to infiltration.

Moreover, Chouhan accused the Soren government of vote-bank politics.

He alleged that infiltrators’ names are being added to voter lists.

"These infiltrators are grabbing Indian land and marrying tribal women," Chouhan stated.

He further claimed this trend is depriving locals of employment opportunities.

Meanwhile, the issue has become central to BJP’s election campaign.

Prime Minister Modi recently addressed the matter during a rally in Hazaribag.

On the other hand, the Jharkhand High Court has taken notice of the situation.

The court ordered the formation of a fact-finding committee last month.

This committee is tasked with identifying infiltrators in the state.

However, the Soren government has not yet responded to these allegations.

Political analysts suggest this issue could significantly impact the election outcome.

In contrast, opposition parties accuse BJP of divisive politics.

Nevertheless, the debate over infiltration continues to intensify as elections approach.
