Jharkhand Police Thwart Naxal Plot with IED Recovery

IED Bombs Recovered in Anti-Naxal Raid in West Singhbhum

In a significant operation against Naxalites, Jharkhand Police and security forces defuse IEDs, ensuring regional safety.

CHAIBASA -Jharkhand Police, in a crucial anti-Naxal operation, successfully neutralized a Naxalite conspiracy in West Singhbhum district.

The joint operation led to the recovery and destruction of two IED bombs, aimed at targeting police forces.

These IEDs, weighing 10 KG and 5 KG, were strategically planted in the forested and hilly regions between Patatorab and Chidiyabeda villages under Tonto police station.

The bomb disposal squad was promptly deployed, ensuring the safe detonation of these devices on site.

This operation is part of an ongoing campaign against Naxalites, particularly in the border areas of the West Singhbhum district.

Since October 10, women police and security forces have been conducting raids across various villages in the region.

The success of this operation is a testament to the ongoing efforts to curb Naxalite activities in the area.

Notably, top leaders of the banned CPI (Mao) Naxalite organization, including Misir Besra, Anmol, Mochhu, Chaman, Kande, Ajay Mahato, Sagen Angriya, and Ashwin, are believed to be in the Kolhan area for destructive activities.

A joint operation team, comprising West Singhbhum District Police, Cobra 209, 203, 205 battalions, Jharkhand Jaguar, and CRPF 60, 197, 157, 174, 193, 134 and 26 battalions, is actively engaged in this mission.

This team has been instrumental in recovering and destroying a significant number of IED bombs to date, marking a substantial stride in maintaining regional security.
