Three Youths Arrested in Jamshedpur by Mango Police for Illegally Possessing Firearms
Mango Police in Jamshedpur arrest three youths for illegal possession of a firearm and cartridges. A fourth suspect is still at large.
JAMSHEDPUR – Mango Police Station in Jamshedpur has successfully arrested three young men for illegal possession of firearms. The police have seized a pistol and six cartridges from their possession.
The arrested individuals are identified as S Ansari, a resident of KGN Colony, Old Purulia Road, Azadnagar; Md A from Zakir Nagar; and Md S, also a resident of KGN Colony.
During their interrogation, the accused informed the police that another man, S Mukherjee, was with them, but he escaped upon seeing the police.
The police have filed a case against all four individuals under the Arms Act. S
All three have been remanded to custody while a search operation for S Mukherjee is underway.
On Tuesday, Mango Police Station received a tip-off about a group of youths possessing a firearm.
Acting on this information, the police executed a raid and subsequently arrested the suspects.
