JAMSHEDPUR – The residents of Telco in Jamshedpur are steadfast in their protest against the construction of a boundary wall at the Jamco ground.
A memorandum was submitted to the Chief Minister via the Deputy Commissioner on Wednesday by the Jemco Maidan Sangharsh Committee, advocating to preserve the grounds.
The local community has repeatedly united to voice their concerns over this issue.
Their unmet demands led to the submission of a memorandum to the Chief Minister through the Deputy Commissioner.
Committee member Satish Kumar highlighted the issue, stating that the telegraph company’s expansion plans threaten the public Jemco grounds, long accessible to locals.
The enclosure of these grounds will impede children’s sports activities and the community’s cultural and religious events.
The ground, a venue for marriages and other programs, faces potential closure due to the construction.
There is widespread discontent among colony residents regarding the boundary wall at Jemco grounds.
The memorandum to the Chief Minister demands the re-dedication of the ground to the colony’s residents.
Key figures like Satish Kumar, Suresh Rai, Jagjit Singh Jagga, Sonu, Praveen Kumar, Santosh Singh, Anil Prakash, and Rakesh Chaudhary were present at the DC office for the memorandum submission.
