GAMHARIA – Gamharia prepares to host the historic Birsa Munda All India Open FIDE Chess Tournament featuring renowned grandmasters.
The two-day competition will commence on October 26 at Gamharia.
Moreover, Grand Masters Mitra Guha and Shaptashree from Bengal will showcase their skills.
Meanwhile, International Master Neeraj Kumar Mishra will join the prestigious tournament.
Furthermore, the rapid category offers prize money of Rs 2 lakh.
In addition, players will compete for Rs 1 lakh in the blitz category.
However, the tournament aims to provide valuable experience to participants.
On the other hand, District Chess Association officials finalized arrangements in Tuesday’s meeting.
Besides, Deputy Commissioner Ravi Shankar Shukla will inaugurate the event.
Meanwhile, a chess expert emphasized the tournament’s significance in developing local talent.
