Champai Soren Unveils Massive Development Push for Jharkhand
CM launches 2,141 schemes, distributes assets worth Rs 71.63 crore to beneficiaries
Jharkhand’s Chief Minister Champai Soren announced ambitious plans for state-wide development, including free electricity, financial aid for women, and agricultural loan waivers.
JAMSHEDPUR – Chief Minister Champai Soren inaugurated a slew of development initiatives and welfare schemes at a grand ceremony in Maubhandaar, Ghatshila.
The event saw the launch of 2,141 development schemes and the distribution of assets valued at approximately Rs 71.63 crores to 20,484 beneficiaries.
"Our government is committed to transforming Jharkhand’s fate through collective cooperation," Soren declared, emphasizing the importance of public participation in the state’s progress.
The CM unveiled several groundbreaking initiatives aimed at improving citizens’ lives, including 200 units of free electricity for consumers and financial assistance for women aged 25 to 50.
Farmers received a significant boost with the announcement of loan waivers up to Rs 2 lakh.
Soren highlighted the Abua Awas Yojana, which aims to provide permanent housing to 20 lakh individuals, ensuring no one resides in mud houses or slums.
The "Aapki Yojana – Your Government – Your Door" program was introduced to bring government services directly to citizens’ doorsteps.
Infrastructure development plans include the construction of 15,000 kilometers of roads and irrigation projects for year-round water supply to fields.
The Guruji Credit Card Yojana was announced to support underprivileged students in pursuing higher education and professional careers.
Soren laid the foundation for 15 schemes worth Rs 14.88 crores and inaugurated projects valued at Rs 30.92 crores during the event.
Notable attendees included MLAs Soren Ramdas, Mohanty Samir, and Sardar Sanjeev, along with other government officials and commission heads.
