JHRC demands strict enforcement of Clinical Establishment Act in Jharkhand
Jamshedpur: Jharkhand Human Rights Conference has urged the Jharkhand government to implement and enforce Clinical Establishment Act strictly throughout the state.
In a memorandum submitted to the DC Office, the organisation said that it has become important to ensure that the provisions of Clinical Establishment Act are enforced strictly in the state.
The Act has already been implemented by the Central government and now the state government too has issued directives to implement its provisions.
The Act has provisions that make it mandatory to get all the clinics registered under the Act.
The IMA has urged the state government to desist from implementing the Act as it would make running smaller clinics difficult in the state causing problems for poor patients.
Manoj Mishra of Jharkhand Human Rights Conference, however, claimed that the Act would improve the condition of the health services in the state and would prevent financial exploitation of poor patients. The outfit demanded that the Act be strictly enforced throughout the state.
