Jamshedpur Commemorates Martyr Nirmal Mahato’s 73rd Birth Anniversary
Jharkhand Leaders and Citizens Pay Tribute to Martyr Nirmal Mahato
Jamshedpur marks the 73rd birth anniversary of Martyr Nirmal Mahato, with tributes from various leaders and communities.
JAMSHEDPUR -The 73rd birth anniversary of Martyr Nirmal Mahato, a key figure in the Jharkhand movement and former president of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM), was celebrated on Monday.
During the event, numerous individuals paid homage to him.
A large gathering of JMM workers convened at Chamaria Guest House in Bistupur on Sunday to honor Martyr Nirmal Mahato.
Attendees paid their respects by offering flowers to his statue, observing a two-minute silence, and paying obeisance.
Dignitaries present included Jharkhand Government Minister Champai Soren, MLA and District President Ramdas Soren, MLA Sanjeev Sardar, Mangal Kalindi, Savita Mahato, Mohan Karmakar, and Jharkhand State Cow Service Commission Vice Chairman Raju Giri.
The area echoed with chants of "Martyr Nirmal Mahato Amar Rahe."
Members from other parties, alongside JMM, also paid tribute on his birth anniversary.
Martyr Nirmal Mahato Jayanti was also celebrated in Chakradharpur by the Totemic Kudmi Samaj.
Union Secretary Karan Mahato led the commemoration, followed by celebrations in Dandasai under Ganesh Mahato and in Dhatkidih.
The event saw participation from Chhotan Mahato, Kartik Mahato, Pratap Mahato, and others.
Banna Gupta, in his tribute, highlighted Nirmal Mahato’s role as a skilled leader and advocate for the poor.
Ajsu party chief Sudesh Mahato saluted the martyr for his lifelong battle against oppression and exploitation.
