Bank of Baroda Launches ‘KARUKRITI’ Skill-Development Programme for Tribal Communities
On its 116th anniversary, Bank of Baroda initiates ‘KARUKRITI’, a skill-development programme for rural employment enterprises.
JAMSHEDPUR – In association with the NGO Kalamandir, Bank of Baroda’s Regional Office in Jamshedpur launched a skill-development programme named ‘KARUKRITI’ at the Chaibasa tribal institution as a part of their corporate social responsibility on the occasion of the bank’s 116th anniversary.
The primary aim of this programme is to generate and foster rural small business employment ventures to the benefit of tribal communities.
Bank of Baroda has completely funded several initiatives, endeavors, equipment, and sheds for the skilled artisans through this programme.
The success of this project owes significantly to the Bank of Baroda branches at Barajamda, Chaibasa, Chaibasa Mahulsai, Chakradharpur, and Jagnathpur, as mentioned by an official.
At the programme’s first session, bank representatives educated local artists on financial literacy.
They offered detailed information about various lending schemes and facilities provided by Bank of Baroda through discussions and debates.
The bank staff also provided guidance on how rural individuals can engage with them and explore alternative career paths.
