Ho Society Celebrates the Legacy of Ot Guru Kol Lako Bodra

In a solemn ceremony, the Adiwasi Ho Society Mahasabha in Chakradharpur and Turatung Project teachers celebrated the 39th death anniversary of Ot Guru Kol Lako Bodra, the creator of Warang Kshiti script.

CHAKRADHARPUR – The Adiwasi Ho Society Mahasabha and Turatung Project teachers in Chakradharpur commemorated the 39th death anniversary of Ot Guru Kol Lako Bodra, the creator of the Warang Kshiti script and a renowned tribal reformer.

Members of the society, led by Mogo Kerai, honored Bodra’s memory by garlanding a stone erected in his name, performing rituals with coconut and banana, and pouring oil beneath the stone.

Rituals and Prayers

The ceremony aimed to advance the work initiated by Bodra and seek blessings for spreading the Warang Kshiti script globally.

Participants prayed for Bodra’s rebirth to accelerate social development within the community.

"May he return to continue his noble work for societal progress," prayed one of the participants.

Community Participation

The event saw significant attendance from the community, including Sub-Divisional President of Adiwasi Ho Society Mahasabha, Mathura Gagarai, social worker and Turatung teacher Nitima Jonko, and many others.

Their collective presence underscored the community’s respect and dedication to preserving Bodra’s legacy.

Bodra’s contributions to the tribal community and the development of the Warang Kshiti script have left a lasting impact.

The society continues to honor his work, aiming to keep his teachings and the script alive for future generations.
