Rainwater Harvesting System Installed at Tata Workers Union School by Inner Wheel Club
Inner Wheel Club Jamshedpur West takes a significant step towards water conservation and environmental awareness with a rainwater harvesting system at Tata Workers Union School.
JAMSHEDPUR – A significant stride towards water conservation and environmental awareness has been taken with the introduction of a rainwater harvesting system at the Tata Workers Union School.
This system collects rainwater from the school building’s rooftop, filters it through a pipe system, and channels it to an underground storage unit via deep digging.
Not only does it store water, but it also ensures its optimal reuse with the inclusion of a deep 12-foot tank and water filtration provisions.
During the inauguration of this eco-friendly water collection system, Ashish Kumar, a notable figure in the area, praised the efforts of the club.
The president of the club, Babita Kedia, was also present for the occasion, alongside Shipra Mishra, the school teacher, and several other members including Nivedita Sinha, Renu Harsana, Urvashi Verma, Antara Chakraborty, Papia Chatterjee, Sanobar Hasan, and Nibha Mishra.
This initiative by the Inner Wheel Club Jamshedpur West is expected to considerably aid in the school’s water conservation efforts and foster environmental consciousness among the faculty and students.
