The accused, identified as Tony Singh, a resident of Gadrubasa in Ulidih, allegedly opened fire at Musarrat Parveen’s house located on Jawahar Nagar Road No. 14, in the Sabri Noori Masjid line of Mango police station area.

Investigations have revealed that Tony Singh had been engaged in constructing a drain in the Noori Sabri Masjid line five years ago, where he became acquainted with a young woman.

This woman had lodged a complaint against a local youth for harassment, which led Singh to allegedly plot revenge.

Further evidence includes blood-stained shards of broken window glass, blood residue from the house’s floor, and the suspect’s blood-stained shoe worn during the incident.

The suspect has a history of criminal activities, with four cases currently registered against him at the Ulidih police station.

The police were able to identify Singh through CCTV footage and immediately conducted a raid leading to his arrest.

During interrogation, Singh revealed the involvement of another offender in the crime, prompting the police to intensify their search efforts.

Senior Superintendent of Police, Prabhat Kumar, in a press conference, assured that the other suspect would be arrested soon.
