Police arrest two youths for drug possession in separate operations in Jamshedpur
In a significant crackdown on drug trafficking, Jamshedpur police arrested two individuals in separate operations, seizing brown sugar and ganja near the tribal club Bada Light and Shiv Mandir Road.
JAMSHEDPUR – Suraj Kuntiya, a resident near the tribal club Bada Light under Ulidih police station, was apprehended with 20 bags of brown sugar, totaling 1.45 grams.
Following this, a raid conducted by Ulidih police near Shiv Mandir Road led to the arrest of Sagar Majumdar, found in possession of 370 grams of ganja.
Majumdar was identified as a dealer of ganja, marking a notable capture in the fight against local drug distribution networks.
City SP Mukesh Lunayat disclosed the details of these operations during a press conference held at the SSP office in Sakchi.
The arrests underline the ongoing efforts by Jamshedpur police to combat drug trafficking and maintain law and order in the region.
These operations reflect the police’s commitment to clamping down on the illegal drug trade and protecting the community from the harms of drug abuse.
