New Cold Storage Facility Opens in Patamda
5000 MT capacity storage to benefit local farmers

JAMSHEDPUR – A new cold storage facility in Patamda block promises to boost local agriculture by providing farmers with better control over their produce’s market timing.
Jugsalai MLA Mangal Kalindi inaugurated the 5000 MT capacity cold storage on Thursday.
The facility is located in Bamani village of Patamda block.
It was built by the Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, and Cooperative Department.
The project cost Rs 10 crore to complete.
Hope and Health Care Private Limited from Hazaribagh will operate the facility.
Farmers can now store various produce, including tomatoes, potatoes, and fruits.
This storage option allows them to fetch better market prices during peak seasons.
Addressing the gathering, Kalindi highlighted the facility’s importance.
He noted that it fulfilled a long-standing demand of Patamda’s farmers.
The cold storage was initially inaugurated by Chief Minister Hemant Soren.
Kalindi formally opened the facility, crediting the state’s development initiatives.
Several local leaders and representatives attended the event.
A local farmer commented, "This cold storage will help us avoid distress sales during harvest time."
