Seraikela BJP Leader Ends Fast for Road Construction and Degree College
Ramesh Hansda, leading a fast-unto-death for the demands of Hudu-Dumra road construction and a degree college in Raj Nagar, ends fast after assurance from BJP State President, Babulal Marandi.
SERAIKELA – Ramesh Hansda, a BJP leader who has been leading a fast-unto-death in front of the Sub-Divisional Office in Seraikela, has ended his fast.
The protest was for the construction of Hudu-Dumra road and a degree college in Rajnagar.
On the fourth day of the protest, he was joined by Vinod Srivastava, the former Mayor of Adityapur Municipal Corporation, BJP District President Vijay Mahato, Ganesh Mahali, former Deputy Mayor Bobby Singh and Meenakshi Patnaik, former Nagar Panchayat President of Seraikela Nagar Panchayat.
They ended the fast by drinking juice.
The fast was called off following the assurance of the newly nominated State President of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Babulal Marandi.
The protest will now continue in every village by raising awareness among the villagers.
After breaking the fast, Ramesh Hansda expressed his disappointment that neither the government nor the administration acknowledged the importance of the demand and the hunger strike.
Hansda stated that his movement will continue until Seraikela MLA Champai Soren is ousted.
He accused Soren, who has been the MLA and Minister of the area for more than 20 years, of neglecting the development of the area and the basic problems of the people.
Hansda vowed that the public will respond to Soren’s unfulfilled promises in the 2024 Vidhan Sabha elections.
