Sakchi Police Bust Interstate Bike Theft Gang in Jamshedpur
Three Accused Arrested, 12 Motorcycles Recovered
In a significant breakthrough, Jamshedpur’s Sakchi police have dismantled an interstate bike theft gang, arresting three individuals and recovering 12 stolen motorcycles.
JAMSHEDPUR – Sakchi police have achieved a major success in tackling bike thefts by exposing an interstate gang involved in the crime.
Three accused have been arrested and sent to jail in judicial custody.
The arrested individuals are D Mahato (26) from Adityapur, P Mahato (33) from Chakradharpur, and Bi Mahato from Nimdih.
Revealing details of the case, Sakchi police station in-charge Sanjay Kumar stated that the arrests were made based on technical and human intelligence.
D Mahato and P Mahato were apprehended from the parking area of MGM Hospital.
During interrogation, they disclosed the involvement of B Mahato.
The duo revealed that they stole bikes from Adityapur, Bistupur, Sakchi, and Sonari areas.
They would keep the stolen bikes at home for a few days before selling them to Bhajohari Mahato, who would then sell the motorcycles to villagers in West Bengal and nearby areas.
Following the information provided by the accused, the police recovered six motorcycles from D Mahato’s house, three from P Mahato’s house, and two from B Mahato’s house.
All three have been sent to jail in judicial custody.
