Significant Ganja Seizure at Balidipa Hotel, Police Continue Anti-Drug Efforts
In a targeted operation against illegal narcotics, police have arrested Suku Mahakud for his involvement in the ganja trade at a local hotel in Balidipa Daan, under Kowali police station’s jurisdiction.
JAMSHEDPUR – In a significant effort to curb illegal drug activities, the police have arrested Suku Mahakud, who was allegedly involved in the trade of ganja.
The arrest followed a raid at a hotel in Balidipa Daan, where 1.64 kg of ganja worth Rs 50,000 was seized.
Rural SP Rishabh Garg detailed the operation, noting that it was based on confidential tips about the drug dealings at the hotel.
The quick police response led to Mahakud’s arrest and the seizure of the narcotics.
Further investigations have unveiled links to a major ganja smuggler, and efforts are ongoing to capture this individual.
SP Garg also highlighted the broader police campaign to ensure law and order during the election period, which has included raids resulting in the seizure of Rs 40 lakh in cash and liquor worth Rs 10-12 lakh from rural areas.
