Supply Chain Veterans Gather at Clockspeed 3.0 Conclave at XLRI; Tesla Power CEO Stresses Local Adaptation
Jamshedpur: The Clockspeed 3.0 Operations & Supply Chain Conclave, organized by the Postgraduate Diploma in Management (General Management) program at XLRI, brought together managing directors and representatives from renowned national and international companies.
The event aimed to foster collaboration between industry and academia in education, ensuring students have comprehensive knowledge as they enter the workforce.
XLRI Professor Alok Raj welcomed attendees, emphasizing the importance of the industry-academia partnership in today’s fast-paced world.
Subhash Arya, CEO of Tesla Power APAC, delivered a keynote speech, highlighting the crucial role of supply chain management in global business.
Arya urged companies to think globally while accounting for local conditions, emphasizing the significance of technology in areas like demand capturing.

The conclave also featured a panel discussion on “Supply Chain Analytics: Shaping the Future of Logistics and Supply Chain Management” with experts from various sectors.
Panelists included Milind Kanetkar, MD of Chainalytics; Abhay Srivastava, President Operations of Mankind Pharma Ltd.; Soumov Kundu, Vice President & Head of Supply Chain at Emami Agrotech Ltd.; Pushkar Mukherjee, Founder & COO of Celsius Logistics Solutions Pvt. Ltd.; Rajneesh Raman; and Sanjana Varshney, an XLRI PGDM (GM) student.
Kanetkar emphasized the value of Global Mobility and using analytics to determine customer needs.
He also highlighted the importance of data science in modern business.
Srivastava discussed the challenges and risks associated with supply chain management, noting how risk management has evolved into a business necessity after COVID-19.
Kundu spoke about data analytics for supply chain operations, explaining that “the application of data analytics consists of two parts: the machine side and the human side.”
He stressed that firms should integrate data-driven analytics into their businesses and emphasized a bottom-up approach to ownership.
