SDO Parul Singh Leads Raid, Seizes 2.5 kg of Ganja in Birsanagar

Surprise Raid in Birsanagar Uncovers Illegal Ganja Trade

A dramatic raid led by Dhalbhum subdivision SDO Parul Singh near Kali Mandir in Birsanagar resulted in the seizure of 2.5 kg of ganja on Thursday evening.

JAMSHEDPUR – It was like a scene from a movie when SDO Parul Singh conducted a surprise raid near Kali Mandir in Birsanagar.

The team led by her confiscated 2.5 kg of ganja and arrested two people who were supposedly involved in the illegal trade.

The raid occurred when a team of police officers, led by SDO Singh, surrounded a house and apprehended K Singh and P Kumar.

Before the raid, SDO Singh’s driver, Satpal, secretly went into the premises and bought ganja worth Rs. 100 from the main person involved.

The kingpin had two types of ganja packets available, one priced at Rs. 100 and the other at Rs. 800. However, despite several attempts, he was unwilling to negotiate the price of the higher-priced packet.

Satpal’s decision to buy the Rs. 100 packet marked the beginning of the operation.

SDO Singh, who was stationed nearby, promptly led the Birsanagar police team to the house.

At first, the kingpin was hesitant to open the door, even after SDO Singh introduced herself.

After persistent efforts by the police, they were finally able to open the door. Inside, they found packages of ganja wrapped in plastic, as well as scales and materials used for sealing.

"This raid shows our dedication to addressing the problem of illegal drug trade in the area," stated a police source.

The recent seizure of 2.5 kg of ganja is a notable achievement in the continuous efforts to combat drug trafficking.
