Late Night Blaze Destroys Saroj Vastralaya in Karandih Jamshedpur

A devastating fire at Saroj Vastralaya textile shop in Jamshedpur’s Karandih resulted in a major loss, with goods worth lakhs burnt to ashes.

JAMSHEDPUR – A sudden fire engulfed Saroj Vastralaya, a textile shop near Karandih Chowk under Parsudih police station, late at night in Jamshedpur.

The blaze, which broke out around 2:00 AM, caused extensive damage, burning clothes and goods worth approximately Rs 40 lakh to ashes. The shop owner, Deepak Kumar, received information about the incident at 3:00 AM.

Kumar stated that he had closed the shop at around 9:00 PM on Friday night and ensured all electrical switches were turned off before leaving. Despite these precautions, the cause of the fire remains unknown.

The fire department was alerted and three fire tenders were dispatched, eventually bringing the fire under control around 4:00 AM after considerable effort.
