District Forest Rights Committee Reviews Claims in Jamshedpur

A total of 46 claims were discussed during the District Forest Rights Committee meeting presided over by SDO Piyush Sinha.

JAMSHEDPUR – A recent meeting of the District Forest Rights Committee (DFRC), presided over by Piyush Sinha, the Sub-Divisional Officer (SDO) for Jamshedpur, discussed numerous claims made under the Forest Rights Act of 2006 and its amendments of 2008 and 2012.

A total of 46 claims, including 2 from Mango, 2 from Patamda, 1 from Bodam, and 1 from Jamshedpur, were subjected to thorough discussions. The committee decided to forward these 46 claims to the District Level Forest Rights Committee for further processing.

Participants at the meeting included the chief of the Jamshedpur Sub-Division, Pani Soren, Mukhiya of the Domjuri Panchayat in Potka, Anita Murmu, Mukhiya of the Keruadungri Panchayat, and Kanhu Murmu from Jamshedpur.
