Manjunath Bhajantri Assumes Charge as East Singhbhum’s New Deputy Commissioner

Newly appointed Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri takes over the reins of East Singhbhum, pledging to drive public welfare schemes to village panchayats and complete pending development works.

JAMSHEDPUR – Manjunath Bhajantri assumed office as the Deputy Commissioner of East Singhbhum on Thursday.

He received the charge from the outgoing Deputy Commissioner, Vijaya Jadhav.

Before the official handover, the Zilla Parishad members honored the incoming and outgoing Deputy Commissioners with bouquets in a welcome and farewell ceremony.

While handing over her responsibilities, Mrs. Jadhav shared her experiences, describing Jamshedpur as a unique district.

She expressed that her tenure here was commendable, marked by excellent cooperation from the city’s residents, civil society, and business community.

She worked tirelessly to ensure the benefits of government public welfare schemes reached the most marginalized sections of society.

Mrs. Jadhav found it particularly gratifying to work for the tribal community.

She cited her accomplishments in the areas of women’s safety, primary education, and initiatives like Savitribai Phule Kishori Samriddhi Yojana.

Successfully overseeing Panchayat elections was a significant achievement of her term.

She also made efforts to maintain discipline during festivals and worked towards city beautification by eliminating encroachments.

She initiated projects related to waste water management systems and garbage treatment plants.

She expressed hope that the current Deputy Commissioner will continue these beneficial works.

Deputy Commissioner Manjunath Bhajantri pledged to ensure that the public welfare schemes of the central and state government reach the village panchayat level.

He emphasized that strengthening the panchayats will be his top priority.

Furthermore, he is determined to see through the completion of any pending development works.
