PM Visit Preparations Disrupt Railway Station Operations

Security measures alter train schedules, passenger entry at Tatanagar

Key Points:

• PM Modi to visit Tatanagar Railway Station on September 15

• Main gate entry restricted, trains shifted to platforms 4 and 5

• Passengers advised to use Burmamines second entry point

JAMSHEDPUR – Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to Tatanagar Railway Station on September 15 has prompted significant operational changes, causing inconvenience to travelers.

The main entrance gate of Tatanagar Railway Station has been closed to the public.

Trains have been relocated to platforms 4 and 5.

This sudden change has left many passengers confused and frustrated.

"I nearly missed my train due to the lack of clear information," said a disgruntled traveler.

Parking facilities near the main gate are no longer available.

Commuters are advised to use the second entry point near Burmamines.

This alternative entrance provides easier access to platforms via a foot overbridge.

A new parking area has been developed to replace the old one.

However, it will not be immediately accessible to regular passengers.

Heightened Security Measures

Security has been intensified throughout the station premises.

Passengers will undergo thorough checks before entering the station.

"We’re implementing strict security protocols to ensure everyone’s safety," explained a railway official.

Shop owners within the station can expect detailed inspections.

The authorities have not publicly shared comprehensive information about these changes.

This lack of communication has led to widespread confusion among travelers.

Platform 1 will remain off-limits until after the Prime Minister’s visit concludes.

Guidance for Travelers

Passengers are strongly advised to use the Burmamines second entry gate on September 14 and 15.

This entry point provides access to platforms 2 through 5.

An alternative route via the exit gate near RMS and GRP has been established.

Travelers should anticipate potential delays due to enhanced security measures.

It’s recommended to arrive at the station well in advance of departure times.

Stay informed about any last-minute changes to train schedules or platform assignments.
