DBMS College of Education Celebrates World Environment Day with a Plantation Drive

DBMS College of Education commemorated World Environment Day by conducting a plantation drive, reinforcing the importance of environmental preservation.

JAMSHEDPUR – DBMS College of Education marked World Environment Day with a plantation drive on Monday, underscoring the critical importance of environmental conservation.

During the event, 10 diverse types of saplings were planted within the college grounds.

B. Chandrasekaran, Chairman of the college, illuminated the significance of celebrating Environment Day.

He expressed that this day acts as a reminder for individuals to be more mindful of their activities and to contribute to environmental preservation, specifically through the planting of saplings.

Priya Dharmarajan, the College Secretary, accentuated the urgent need for environmental protection. She emphasized that the welfare of future generations hinges on our current actions towards the environment.

Furthermore, she underlined that human existence is intrinsically interconnected with nature.

The plantation program was attended by respected figures including General Secretary Usha Ramanathan, Geeta Natarajan, Dr. Juhi Sedda, Birendra Pandey, Babu Rao, Julian Anthony, Malti, and Bhim. Their active participation in the event highlighted their commitment to preserving the environment.
