‘Bazm-e-Shayari’ Event at Karim City College Highlights Student Poetic Talent on World Poetry Day

Karim City College’s SPARK hosted ‘Bazm-e-Shayari’ to mark World Poetry Day, showcasing student poems and ghazals, with notable guest poets enhancing the literary celebration.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Society for Promotion of Art and Culture (SPARK) at Karim City College commemorated World Poetry Day with ‘Bazm-e-Shayari’, a gathering that illuminated the poetic prowess of its students through self-composed poems and ghazals.

The event, enriched by the participation of guest poets Dr. Basudhara Roy, Dr. Sandhya Singh, and Gauhar Aziz, offered a platform for students to exhibit their literary talent across Hindi, English, and Urdu categories.

Principal Dr. Mohammad Reyaz lauded SPARK’s initiative, led by coordinator Dr. SM Yahiya Ibrahim, for its role in celebrating poetry’s enduring impact on humanity.

Organized by Muskaan Kumari, the poetry session concluded with acknowledgments by Sahdev Mahato, appreciating the contributions of all involved, including faculty members Dr. Iftikhar Nabi, Dr. Zaki Akhtar, and Prof. Saket Kumar, among others.

‘Bazm-e-Shayari’ not only highlighted the diverse linguistic and cultural heritage of the college community but also affirmed the universal appeal of poetry in expressing the depth of human emotions and experiences.
