Srinath University’s first annual art exhibition showcases diverse creations by students, marking a celebration of artistic expression and talent.
JAMSHEDPUR – Kicking off its first annual art exhibition, the Srinath University School of Fine Arts opened its doors on Saturday, July 8, for a two-day display of artistic talent.
Nishith Kumar Sinha, Head of Statutory Compliance Management & Societies at Tata Steel, inaugurated the event at the University Auditorium.
Students from the Department of Fine Arts displayed their innovative artwork, with creations ranging from ceramics and sculptures to paintings.
The event drew a diverse crowd, including students, professors, art enthusiasts, and the general public.
The exhibition, according to Nalin Chandra, Head of the Department of Fine Arts, was designed to celebrate artistic expression and offer emerging artists a platform to share their unique perspectives with the community.
Visitors were treated to an array of creative expressions, the result of students’ dedicated effort and time.
The organization of the Art Exhibition was facilitated by Assistant Professors Ganesh Mahato and Neha Pandey from the Department of Fine Arts.
Dr. Govind Mahato, Vice Chancellor of Srinath University, expressed his enthusiasm at the inauguration, stating, "We are excited to host our first Art Exhibition at our University Auditorium. In Jamshedpur, Fine Arts is only offered at Srinath University."
He praised the creativity and skill of the Fine Arts students who have continually brought honour to the institution by securing top positions in various cultural art contests.
The exhibition, he said, serves as a platform to recognise local talent, foster cross-cultural understanding, and inspire viewers.
