Jamshedpur – Workers College’s National Service Scheme (NSS) unit in Mango, Jamshedpur, held a celebration in honor of Environment Day on Tuesday.
The District Forest Officer (DFO), Mamta Priyadarshi, graced the occasion as the chief guest. The event was a significant platform for disseminating the importance of environmental protection among students via various speeches and theatrical performances.
College principal and faculty members joined the event, which drew a large turnout of students. Throughout the celebration, speakers emphasized the significance of safeguarding our environment.
DFO Mamta Priyadarshi provided an in-depth understanding of environmental protection and the crucial role trees play in our ecosystem.
Students also engaged in the message of environmental conservation, presenting it through multiple drama and dance performances.
As a symbolic gesture towards the promotion of greenery, DFO Mamta Priyadarshi also planted saplings within the college campus.
