XITE College Hosts Active Living Session on Anti-Drug Day
Health Expert Shares Tips for Balanced Lifestyle at Yi Yuva Event
A collaborative effort between XITE College and CII Young Indians promotes healthy living as a deterrent to drug abuse among youth.
JAMSHEDPUR – XITE College (Autonomous) marked the International Day Against Drug Abuse with an insightful session on Active Living, featuring health educator and marketing professional Mrs. Jhumpa Mukherjee.
"Maintaining an active lifestyle is crucial in preventing substance abuse," Mukherjee emphasized during her presentation. "Simple daily habits can make a significant difference in overall well-being."
The event, organized in partnership with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Young Indians (Yi) Yuva Jamshedpur Chapter Yi Health Cell, aimed to equip students with practical strategies for healthier living.
Mukherjee shared key lifestyle recommendations, including:
– Observing a 14-hour gap between dinner and breakfast
– Prioritizing whole foods over processed alternatives
– Limiting screen time before bed
– Engaging in daily physical activity
– Living with purpose and intention
"These guidelines are not just about physical health, but mental and emotional well-being too," noted Ashish Singh from XITE’s Branding and Communication Department, who co-organized the event with Naval Narayan Chowdhury of the NSS Department.
The session saw active participation from XITE faculty members and Yi representatives, underlining the collaborative nature of the initiative.
This event highlights the growing emphasis on preventive measures and healthy lifestyle choices in the fight against drug abuse among young adults.
