Judge Mishra Urges Citizens to Plant Trees to Combat Heatwave
On World Environment Day, Principal District Judge Anil Kumar Mishra planted a sapling in the Jamshedpur court premises, emphasizing the importance of a clean environment.
JAMSHEDPUR – Principal District Judge Anil Kumar Mishra marked World Environment Day by planting a sapling in the Jamshedpur court premises and promoting environmental conservation.
Judge Mishra stressed the need for individuals to plant at least five trees annually to maintain ecological balance.
He highlighted that the rate of deforestation far exceeds reforestation efforts, leading to increasing heat and heatwave conditions.
The event saw the participation of DLSA (District Legal Services Authority) Secretary Rajendra Prasad, other judicial officers, Legal Council members, PLVs, and DALSA personnel.
Rajendra Prasad noted that DLSA’s PLVs conducted tree plantation drives across various areas of the district to raise awareness about the importance of planting trees.
He added that educating the public on environmental conservation is crucial for mitigating climate change effects.
A participant commented, "This initiative is a step towards a greener and healthier environment. We all should contribute by planting more trees."
