Coronavirus still claiming lives in Jharkhand, 1 dies

Total corona-related death toll in Jharkhand now 1,061

Ranchi: Coronavirus is certainly on the decline in Jharkhand. However, it is still claiming lives. On Saturday, it again claimed 1 more life in the state as the total death toll in the state due to the virus climbed up to 1,061.

According to official data, the state has tested 51,26,992 samples till Saturday. Out of these samples, 1,18,232 have tested positives while 1,16,293 samples have tested negative.

The state still has 878 active cases of coronavirus infections.

On Saturday too, 78 new cases were detected across the state. On the other hand, 177 patients were also cured and discharged, while 1 death was reported from Ranchi district.

The recovery rate in the state has now reached 98.36%. The mortality rate is still ate 0.89%.

East Singhbhum still remains the most affected district in the state. However, for the last 45 days, only 1 death has been reported in East Singhbhum district and the condition has vastly improved from what it was a couple of months back.
