Head-on Collision Between Car and Bus Leaves Girl Injured

In a devastating incident, three individuals lost their lives, and a young girl sustained injuries in a road accident that occurred in the Sadar police station area of Gumla district, Jharkhand.

GUMLA – Unfortunately, a devastating road accident occurred near Khora village in Gumla district, resulting in the loss of three lives and leaving a six-year-old girl injured.

The incident occurred in the afternoon when a bus and a XUV vehicle collided head-on, resulting in injuries to the occupants.

Members of the local community quickly responded to the incident and assisted in moving the injured individuals to the nearby Sadar Hospital Gumla.

Tragically, upon their arrival, medical professionals at the hospital pronounced three of the occupants as deceased.

Girl injured, three deceased identified

The individuals who passed away have been identified as Father Theodore Kujur (58 years), Sister Nirmala Kujur (45 years), and Kevin Johnson Kujur (12 years). Josephine Minj, a 6-year-old girl, was in the car during the unfortunate accident.

"The collision had a devastating impact, resulting in the unfortunate loss of three lives. Despite the tireless efforts of the dedicated medical staff at Sadar Hospital Gumla, the victims were unable to overcome their injuries," shared an employee of the hospital.

The Christian community is deeply saddened by the loss

The tragic accident quickly became known, leading to a significant gathering of Christian followers at Sadar Hospital Gumla to express their grief over the loss of their community members.

Upon hearing about the incident, Central Catholic Sabha President Set Kumar Ekka rushed to the hospital.

He mentioned that Father Theodore Kujur was from Raigarh. The Fathers of Jashpur have received news of Sister Nirmala Kujur’s passing and are currently on their way to Gumla.

The victims were on their way from Ranchi to Barwadih Jari

Based on the details we have, it seems that the victims embarked on their journey from Ranchi in a XUV vehicle with the goal of reaching Barwadih Jari.

A tragic accident took place near Khora village, which led to the unfortunate loss of three lives and left young Josephine Minj injured.
