Tension Erupts over Land Use for Road in Jamshedpur’s Kadma Area
Uproar ensues as Tata UISL begins making use of land for road construction near Swami Sahajanand Saraswati Bhawan in Kadma, Jamshedpur, facing strong opposition.
JAMSHEDPUR – An uproar ensued in the premises of Swami Sahajanand Saraswati Bhawan located in the Kadma area of Jamshedpur on Tuesday.
The controversy started when the land allocated to the building by Tata Steel UISL (formerly JUSCO) began to be used for road construction, prompting strong opposition from some local residents who managed to halt the work.

In connection with this issue, Vikas Singh, a social worker and a leader of the community, lodged a written complaint against company officials at the Kadma police station.
He stated that the disputed land was allocated for Swami Sahajanand Saraswati Bhawan, where the Bhumihar community conducts many religious rituals.
Furthermore, Tata Company flats are located adjacent to this land.

Singh alleged that the company’s officials intend to route the road through the building premises and the flat compound, which has drawn all round objection.
He claimed that some company personnel had physically mishandled individuals in the building premises.
Consequently, he claimed, a written complaint has been filed, and legal action has been demanded against these individuals.
