Week-Long Awareness Program Launched Under Swachh Bharat Mission

JAMSHEDPUR – A week-long sanitation awareness campaign began in Mango under the Swachh Bharat Mission to train women self-help groups in waste management and public cleanliness practices.

The Urban Development and Housing Department of Jharkhand directed the initiative. The program is being implemented in Mango Municipal Corporation area.

Meanwhile, the campaign focuses on strengthening sanitation awareness. It is being conducted under the Swachh Bharat Mission framework.

Moreover, the event is organized under the direction of the Deputy Municipal Commissioner. The program will run from March 8 to March 14.

During this period, multiple activities will be conducted across the civic body area. These activities aim to improve public awareness on sanitation.

Meanwhile, women from self-help groups are participating in the program. They are learning different aspects of waste management.

Moreover, training includes door-to-door garbage collection systems. Participants are also learning methods of compost preparation.

The sessions also cover waste-to-health awareness initiatives. Digital literacy training is included for the participating members.

Meanwhile, officials also planned sanitation awareness drives in local neighborhoods. Participants will promote cleanliness practices among residents.

Moreover, the campaign will include the Safai Suraksha Mitra initiative. The program aims to recognize sanitation workers and promote safe practices.

Members of self-help groups attended the event. Community organization coordinators and CRPs also participated.

Meanwhile, civic awareness efforts are frequently organized in Jamshedpur. The plastic crackdown, waste disposal plan, staff shortage issue, municipal election contest, and winter bonfire drive highlight civic initiatives in the region.
